SITE SELECTION
1. Select fertile land with well drained clay loam to sandy soil with good infiltration rate. 2. Tomatoes are also sensitive to cool night temperature (below 550F) 3. The best temperature range for growing the growing season is between 60 and 900F, temperature above 900F or below 550F will slow the growth, pollination and maturation of the crops
Land Preparation
1. Clear land and till the soil before construction of basin or ridges

TRANSPLANTING

Never leave pesticide container open 6. Spray so that wind blows pesticide away from you 7. Walk at the right speed to ensure spray distribution is adequate
TOMATOES HARVEST
Harvest tomatoes when the fruits are mature and ripe. Fresh tomatoes are the number one crops in terms of farm gate value among all the vegetables grown. Tomatoes should only be harvested when they reach the mature green stage. If tomatoes are harvested any earlier. The fruit will fail to ripen normally. Since the mature green state is difficult to judge externally, growers will often take a representative sample of fruit from their fields and cut it open for internal examination.
